Robert Scannell - President
Rob is a first-year MBA student at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. Before business school, he taught English in Thailand where he developed a passion for unlocking the potential of others. He also served six years in U.S. Army psychological Operations, honing his leadership instincts while managing cross-functional teams across the Asia Pacific region. At Kenan-Flagler, he joined the Curriculum Advisory Board, led a STAR project, and was elected MBA Student Association President for the Class of 2027. A Pacific Northwest native, Rob balances the demands of MBA life with Muay Thai kickboxing, roguelike games, and a deep love of international rap and EDM.
Abby Aderinola - VP of Communications & Technology
Abby is currently pursuing her MBA at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, where she focuses on product strategy and technology innovation, with a strong interest in building solutions that better connect people and information. She is particularly drawn to how thoughtful communication and emerging technologies can create more intuitive and impactful user experiences.
Originally from Nigeria, Abby began her career working across fintech, insurance, and prop-tech, where she served as a product manager in dynamic, customer-focused environments. These experiences shaped her approach to product development, grounding her in user-centered thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and building solutions that balance business goals with real customer needs.
At Kenan-Flagler, Abby is a Forte Fellow and serves as Vice President of Communications and Technology for the MBA Student Association. In this role, she works to improve how information flows across the MBA community while leveraging technology to drive stronger engagement.
Outside of school, Abby enjoys traveling, exploring new cultures, and discovering new wines. She also loves dancing, staying active, and building meaningful connections with people from diverse backgrounds.
Nithya Sree Jagannathan - VP of Outreach
Nithya Sree Jagannathan is a second-year MBA candidate at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, where she serves as VP of Outreach. She enjoys bringing people together, whether that’s connecting students with alumni or creating spaces where networking feels a little less like networking and a lot more like real conversation. She is also actively involved in the Operations Club, Carolina Women in Business, and Net Impact Club.
After completing her undergraduate degree in business, Nithya worked across manufacturing, financial services, publishing, and digital events before her MBA. Somewhere along the way, she realized she enjoys fixing things like messy data, inefficient processes, or just figuring out how things could work better. She’s especially interested in working at the intersection of data, systems, and people, where she can bring both structure and creativity to solving problems.
This summer, she’ll be joining Solenis as a Summer Intern, where she’s excited to dive into yet another new industry (this time in sustainability) and see how her problem-solving skills translate into a new space.
Outside of school, Nithya is a dancer at heart and is always up for learning a new style. She also enjoys playing chess (when life is going well), discovering new food spots, and building small routines that make busy days feel a little more grounded.
Tom Lanphier - Vice President
Tom is an MBA candidate at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, concentrating in Operations, Finance, and Healthcare. At Kenan-Flagler, he serves as Executive Vice President of the MBA Student Association and is actively involved in the Healthcare Club, Operations & General Management Club, Class Legacies, and Carolina Women in Business (CWIB).
Born and raised outside Chicago, Tom earned his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell University while rowing for the crew team. Prior to business school, he spent five years working in engineering, manufacturing, project management, and team leadership roles. This summer, Tom will intern with Emerson Electric in St. Louis, Missouri.
When not in McColl or Bell Hall, Tom enjoys playing games of all kinds (board, card, and video), playing pickleball and platform tennis, traveling, cooking, and listening to audiobooks and podcasts. His favorite time is spent with his wife, Raeanne, and their dog, Kiera.
Priyansh Agarwal- VP of Finance
Originally from India, Priyansh Agarwal is an MBA candidate at the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School, concentrating in Capital Markets and Investment Management. He is a Chartered Accountant (equivalent to a U.S. CPA) and a CFA Charter holder.
Prior to business school, Priyansh worked at Fidelity International in India as a Buy-Side Senior Research Associate, where he focused on equity research and investment analysis across global markets. At Kenan-Flagler, he is actively involved in the Investment Management Club and the Corporate Finance Club, further deepening his engagement with the investment community. Priyansh is passionate about investing, global markets, and geopolitics, and enjoys engaging in thoughtful discussions on these topics. This summer, he will intern with the State of Wisconsin Investment Board (SWIB) on the Small Cap Portfolio team.
In his spare time, Priyansh enjoys go-karting, following Formula 1 races, playing squash, and spending time with friends on Franklin Street.
Navia Sehgal - VP of International Student Experience
Navia Sehgal is the VP of International Experience at MBASA, bringing a global perspective shaped by her journey across Nigeria, India, and now Chapel Hill. Having grown up navigating cultures, cuisines, and communities, she’s passionate about creating spaces where every student feels at home.
Before her MBA, Navia worked at KPMG India in process improvement and operations, and is now pivoting toward strategy, operations, and processes optimization.
A trained dancer since childhood, Navia has explored multiple dance forms and was part of her undergrad dance team in India. At KFBS, she’s brought that passion to life by choreographing for ABC’s Dandiya Night, IBA’s Diwali event, and Songfest.
When she’s not dancing, you’ll find her exploring new cafés, curating food spots, and building connections over great conversations. If you’re looking for a dance buddy, a food partner, or just someone to yap with, you know where to find her.
Rahul Krishnamurthy - VP of Leadership & Development
Rahul is an MBA candidate at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, where he is focused on operations and consulting. He brings a background in mechanical engineering and a strong interest in using business as a force to drive meaningful environmental impact.
Prior to business school, Rahul worked in India’s energy sector, beginning his career at Adani, one of the country’s largest energy producers. He later transitioned to a climate tech startup, where he worked as a product manager building solutions that help companies measure and reduce their carbon emissions. Through these experiences, he developed a deep appreciation for the role businesses can play in accelerating the transition to a more sustainable future, which ultimately led him to pursue an MBA.
Rahul earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering from M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology in 2020. Outside of academics and work, he is passionate about sports and adventure. He played cricket at the under-16 and under-19 levels in India and continued as a student athlete during college. He also enjoys hiking and traveling and recently completed a high-altitude trek to Kedarkantha in the Himalayas.
Andrew Robinson - VP of Community Service
Andrew Robinson is an MBA student at UNC Kenan-Flagler (Class of 2027), concentrating in Consulting and Corporate Finance. As VP of Community Service for the MBA Student Association, he is focused on connecting the Kenan-Flagler community with meaningful ways to give back to Chapel Hill and beyond.
Before business school, Andrew built a career spanning commercial real estate, capital markets, and financial services at firms including Wells Fargo and Goldman Sachs. He is a Kenan-Flagler Fellow and is fluent in Spanish, developed during two years of volunteer service in Chile. He grew up in Idaho and Utah and now calls North Carolina home.
Tatuli Janigava - VP of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Tamar (Tatuli) Janjgava is a first-year MBA candidate at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. Prior to business school, she built her career in commercial strategy, growth, and marketing across healthcare services and CPG, where she led market expansion initiatives and drove revenue growth in dynamic environments.
Originally from Georgia, Tamar holds a bachelor's degree in international relations with a focus on Asian studies and Chinese language, and with a minor in marketing. She also spent a year living and studying in China, developing a strong global perspective and cross-cultural communication skills.
At Kenan-Flagler, Tamar serves as a STAR Consulting Project Leader, leading a team of 3 MBA students and 2 undergraduates on a client-facing engagement, and is actively involved in student leadership as VP of Conference for the Healthcare Club and VP of Corporate Relations and External Outreach for the Marketing Club.
Tamar will be joining the North Carolina SBTDC this summer as a Technology Commercialization Consultant. Outside of work, she enjoys contemporary dance, yoga, and exploring creative pursuits such as painting and ceramics.
Anirudh Malyala - VP of Student Activities
Anirudh (Ani) Malyala is a natural community builder and connector pursuing his MBA at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. He is passionate about shaping an MBA experience grounded in belonging, shared experiences, and lasting relationships. With a background in consulting, technology, and marketing, Ani enjoys bringing structure to ideas while creating environments where people feel comfortable showing up as themselves.
At Kenan-Flagler, Ani also serves as Vice President of Outreach for the Business Technology Club and Vice President of Social Affairs for the Asian Business Club. As a liaison for multiple clubs in his first year, he supported the planning and hosting of cultural and community-building events such as Diwali, Dussehra, and Lunar New Year celebrations. He is driven to design experiences that connect students across cohorts, cultures, and career paths. Ani believes the strongest professional networks are built through shared moments that foster familiarity, trust, and genuine connection.
Outside the classroom, Ani enjoys hosting friends, cooking, exploring the streets of Chapel Hill and Carrboro, gardening, and engaging in thoughtful (and occasionally chaotic) conversations about business, culture, and life.
He believes the best MBA memories often begin with a simple question: “Who else should join us?”
Alyssa Maita - VP of Social Affairs
Prior to pursuing her MBA, Alyssa spent the past five years at American Express in New York, leading strategic marketing initiatives for small business products. She brings expertise in cross-channel campaign development, customer segmentation, creative strategy, and stakeholder management. Before that, Alyssa obtained her undergraduate degree from Emory University majoring in Business Administration and Spanish.
At UNC Kenan-Flagler, Alyssa serves as the VP of Social Affairs for MBASA and is actively involved in Carolina Women in Business, Marketing Club, Sports & Entertainment Club, and Healthcare Club. Alyssa is planning to pivot into the health and wellness technology space, with a focus on driving innovation in how consumers manage their wellbeing. Through her MBA, she's deepening her problem-solving and data analytics skills and exploring target industries via academic concentrations in Product Management and Technology Innovation, Healthcare, and Marketing. This summer, Alyssa will intern at Apple in New York.
In her spare time, Alyssa loves to cook for friends by hosting dinner parties, and getting active through Pilates, yoga, running, and pickleball.
Vishal Krishna - VP of Student Store Operations
Vishal Krishnan is a first year MBA student at UNC Kenan Flagler Business School. Before business school, he spent over 5 years at AkzoNobel in supply chain and operations, leading initiatives across planning, sourcing and inventory management in South Asia. His work focused on solving complex operational challenges, improving service levels and driving cross functional alignment in fast paced manufacturing environments.
Originally from India, Vishal earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering and graduated magna cum laude. He is passionate about operations leadership and consulting.
This summer, Vishal will join Amazon’s Pathways Operations internship program. At UNC, he is an active on the leadership board of the AI and Analytics club and is an active member of the operations and general management club. Outside work, he is an avid soccer fan and supports Chelsea football club. He enjoys playing cricket and hitting the bowling alley on weekends. He also loves teaching and supports his peers with their exam prep and undergrad student athletes as an official ASPSA appointed tutor.
