Brette Baumhover - President

Brette is an MBA candidate at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, where she is concentrating in Marketing, Strategy, and Managing People and Organizations. She currently serves as President of the MBA Student Association for the Class of 2026 and is actively involved in Carolina Women in Business as a mentor and VP of Internal Communications, is an MBA Ambassador, and a member of the Marketing Club and the Business Technology Club. 

Prior to business school, Brette spent a decade at VIETRI, Inc., where she progressed through a variety of leadership roles. As Brand Manager, she led high-impact initiatives including a national book tour and a comprehensive brand repositioning, while also managing strategic partnerships and overseeing aspects of the digital marketing mix. Her earlier roles spanned product development, content creation, and marketing operations, where she built a strong reputation for cross-functional collaboration, creative strategy, and international vendor management. 

Brette earned her B.A. in International Relations from Elon University, where she was a Study Abroad Ambassador and an active member of academic honor societies. She is fluent in Italian and proficient in Spanish. Outside of her professional pursuits, Brette enjoys gardening, reading, traveling, and spending quality time with loved ones. 

Sarah Kearney - VP of Communications & Technology

Sarah Kearney is a Durham native and Double Tar Heel, currently pursuing her MBA at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. A marketing professional with a track record of building brands and leading campaigns, she brings nearly a decade of experience across the consumer and hospitality sectors. Prior to business school, Sarah was an Account Director at McKinney, where she led omnichannel campaigns for clients like Choice Hotels and Anheuser-Busch, helping launch one of its fastest-growing brands. She began her career at Velocity OMC supporting Neutrogena’s major product launches. At Kenan-Flagler, Sarah is a Dean’s Fellow, Forté Fellow, and STAR Project Lead, combining brand expertise with strategic leadership across industries. She’ll be joining Kenvue as a Summer Associate to further explore impact-driven marketing.

In her free time, Sarah loves trying new restaurants around the Triangle and is always on the hunt for the best spicy margarita.

Caroline Kirolos - VP of Outreach

Caroline is originally from Cairo, Egypt but has spent the last 10 years of her life in Ontario, Canada. She graduated from University of Guelph with a BSc in Kinesiology. She once thought she would become a physiotherapist but found herself enjoying her post covid work at the American Chamber of Commerce in Cairo where she worked in operations and research and development for their career development center. She then moved on to work for TD General Insurance in Canada before starting her MBA.

Caroline is pursuing a concentration in healthcare and consulting. This summer Caroline will be interning at Grifols in the RTP. In her free time, Caroline likes to play tennis, read books, and explore new restaurants in the nearby areas. 

Kyle Gasaway - Vice President

Originally from Ohio, Kyle Gasaway spent the past eight years in Washington, D.C., where he built a nonprofit career focusing on public health and education. He earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Denison University. Before coming to Kenan-Flagler, Kyle was the Communications Manager at the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO), supporting DEI-focused leadership development programming. Before that, he served as a Program Coordinator at The Washington Campus, engaging MBA students in the intersection of business and public policy.

At Kenan-Flagler, Kyle serves as Executive Vice President of the MBA Student Association and is actively involved in the Marketing Club, Pride Club, Healthcare Club, and Kenan Connections (Partners Club). He is pursuing a concentration in marketing with plans to enter brand management within the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry. This summer, Kyle will intern at Kenvue in New Jersey.

In his spare time, Kyle enjoys musical theater—favorites include Hamilton and Next to Normal—and playing video games, whether on his Nintendo Switch or in online League of Legends matches with friends.

Mohit Sukhija - VP of Finance

Mohit Sukhija is a second-year MBA student at UNC Kenan-Flagler with a concentration in Real Estate and Corporate Finance. Prior to business school, he spent three years at Walker & Dunlop, where he specialized in affordable housing finance and tax credit syndication. In this role, he underwrote LIHTC transactions and developed financial models for institutional investors and developers across the country. 

Mohit earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, where he majored in Political Economy. This summer, he will be joining Jefferies as a Summer Associate in the Real Estate, Gaming & Lodging (REGAL) Investment Banking group. Outside of the classroom, Mohit is passionate about urban development, real estate private equity, and expanding access to housing through innovative capital structures. 

  

Ribah Khan - VP of International Student Experience

Raised in Saudi Arabia and originally from India, Ribah Khan brings a global perspective shaped by her background in architecture and her career in digital marketing. Before business school, she ran a food and beverage marketing agency and built a strong personal brand as a content creator, partnering with global companies and helping F&B brands grow through storytelling and strategy.

At Kenan-Flagler, Ribah serves as VP of International Student Experience for MBASA, where she focuses on making the international student journey easier and more enriching through events, resources, and community support. She is also VP of Socials for the Marketing Club, President of Muslims at Kenan-Flagler, and an MBA Student Ambassador. She is pursuing concentrations in Marketing and Strategy, with a focus on brand management and digital innovation.

This summer, she will be a Marketing Intern at Ecolab, working in the Institutional Division. Outside of school, Ribah enjoys traveling, discovering new restaurants, and creating content that blends culture, creativity, and connection.

Rachel Oatis - VP of Leadership & Development

Rachel Oatis is a mission-driven strategist and community builder pursuing her MBA at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. With a background in nonprofit leadership and strategy, she’s passionate about bridging gaps in education, opportunity, and business. 

A proud graduate of Spelman College (B.A., Political Science, Phi Beta Kappa) and Columbia University (M.S., Nonprofit Management), Rachel has been recognized with the Campbell Leadership Award and was an HBCU Fellow, focusing on organizational development and governance.

Her professional experience spans leading nonprofits and startups. At the Obama Foundation, she managed research, budgets, and communications for programs like the Girls Opportunity Alliance and My Brother’s Keeper. At Voltron Data, she led global initiatives and employee development, resulting in in increasing  employee satisfaction. She has also supported nonprofit growth as a consultant with Almora Advisors. 

Outside of her work, Rachel is a TEDx co-organizer and speaker coach, Colorwave Fellow, and serves as a representative for the National Black MBA Association (RDU chapter). She enjoys spending time with family & friends  and staying stylish with her love of eyewear fashion. 

Anusha Godavarthi - VP of Community Service

Anusha grew up in Hyderabad, India, where her passion for service began as Director of Community Services for her undergraduate Rotaract Club. There, she led campus-wide initiatives focused on youth education and women’s empowerment. Before business school, she spent five years at Cisco as a Technical Consulting Engineer, collaborating with global teams across cloud and networking technologies. She also earned her master’s degree in computer networking from North Carolina State University. 

 At UNC Kenan-Flagler, Anusha serves as VP of Community Service for MBASA, where she is committed to fostering a culture of inclusion and impact by organizing hands-on service opportunities that connect students with the broader Chapel Hill community. In addition to this role, she also serves as VP of Communications for One for the World and VP of Socials & Community for Carolina Women in Business. This summer, she will be interning at Bank of America in Charlotte as a Strategy & Management Associate. 

Outside of academics, Anusha enjoys photography, spending time with her beagle pup, and is a licensed real estate agent.  

Ellie June - VP of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Ellie June is a native North Carolinian, a proud Tar Heel and member of the Wolfpack. She earned her undergraduate degree in English, concentrating in linguistics, from NC State. Prior to business school, Ellie spent seven years in B2B technology sales and business development at Lenovo, forging partnerships with the world's largest tech companies. While at Lenovo, she founded Global Advancing Leaders (GALS), an international employee resource group offering formal mentorship between female executives and high-potential early-career women.  

Her long-term career goal is to work in energy and sustainability in Big Tech, developing strategic alliances between the tech and energy sectors to make the AI boom more sustainable. This summer, she will be in Nashville interning at Amazon. 

Ellie serves as the MBA Student Association Vice President of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and the Energy Club Vice President of Community Engagement. She is an avid reader, gluten-free baker, runner, and ceramicist.  

Fleming Beaver - VP of Student Activities

A Tar Heel born, bred, and thankfully still kicking, Fleming Beaver is honored to serve as the VP of Student Activities. In this role, Fleming supports activity clubs, legacies, and MBASA social events in event programming and organizational strategy. Before coming home to Chapel Hill, Fleming worked in political advocacy and campaigns, managing voter mobilization programs for national and statewide progressive organizations. His work took him to Iowa (twice!), Wisconsin (also twice!), Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Washington, DC. In doing this work, Fleming gained valuable experience in people and program management, data strategy, and political communication; however, he also learned that he prefers North Carolina, and is happy to be here for grad school.

As a dual-degree student with Duke University Sanford School of Public Policy, Fleming studies the intersection of business, policy, and technology, exploring how product and policy work together to craft our society and democracy. This summer, Fleming is working as an analyst for NCGrowth, providing technical support to businesses in distressed communities across the Carolinas. He is concentrating in Tech Policy at Duke, and Product Management and Innovation at UNC.

When not contributing his labor to systems of capitalism, Fleming loves to cook for his girlfriend, play games of all types, think about going to the gym, and explore the Triangle food scene.  Additionally, Fleming enjoys spitting hot takes, including but not limited to: Culinary Authenticity is gatekeeping, Millennials are the best generation, and the Star Wars prequels predicted the second Trump presidency.

Mila Belcheva- VP of Social Affairs

Mila is originally from Shumen, Bulgaria, and moved to Dallas, TX, in 2016. There she attended Texas Christian University, where she pursued a bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems. She graduated magna cum laude in 2021 and worked as a Business Analyst at the American College of Emergency Physicians before joining UNC Kenan-Flagler.

In a parallel universe, Mila would want to be a Broadway performer—she has a rich background in classical ballet, singing, playing instruments, and musical theater. In Dallas, she nurtured her artistic roots by performing Bulgarian folk music and participating in musical theater productions directed by Broadway veteran John Wilkerson.

At Kenan-Flagler, Mila is pursuing a concentration in consulting and technology, with a strong interest in entrepreneurship. She is passionate about supporting her peers and will be serving as a consultant at the Business Communication Center.

In her free time, Mila enjoys walking and running on Chapel Hill's scenic trails, attending concerts, traveling, playing guitar, and exploring new restaurants with friends.
